School is back in session, Labor Day is right around the corner and college football fans are counting down the days to kickoff. All sure signs that fall is coming.
To that end, Huntsville Parks & Recreation produced a Fall Program Guide, filled with activities, events and programs for every interest, age and ability. Dorianne Johnson, Recreation Superintendent of Community Services, encourages residents to learn more about the 100 free programs offered by Parks & Recreation.
“We offer so much more than many people realize,” she said. “This is a great opportunity to try something new!”
There are walking groups and pickleball play, athletic leagues and aquatic instruction, art classes and salsa lessons. From Tai Chi to calligraphy, fall break camps to fall festivals, the guide is the ultimate resource for fun. Best of all, nearly every offering is free!
The Fall Program Guide is available online at HuntsvilleAL.gov/PRguides. Follow the department on Facebook and Instagram for the latest information.
