Musicians and music lovers wanting the latest updates on Huntsville’s fast-growing music scene can find them on the new Huntsville Music Office website, HuntsvilleMusic.com. Visitors to the site can explore upcoming live music events, connect with venues and industry professionals, learn more about the Music Office’s objectives and more.

The site is a hub of information for a cross-section of Huntsville’s music community, from music-makers to those working behind the scenes. The main feature, however, is a comprehensive community music calendar presented in an easy-to-digest format on computers and mobile devices.

The calendar also allows registered users to add their own events by clicking the “Add Events” button. Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella hopes the calendar will become a main resource for live music information for music fans of every genre.

“We’re proud to offer a platform that acts as a one-stop-shop for discovering music events happening in our area, while also providing musicians and venues more visibility and promotion for their shows at no cost,” he said. “The calendar also offers a great snapshot into how diverse, vibrant and awesome our music scene is.”

The site’s resources page includes a wealth of information about the City’s Arts & Entertainment districts as well as links to the City’s noise ordinance and Special Events Permit page. Site visitors can also sign up for the Music Office’s e-newsletter and complete an online survey, found at the “Connect with Us” link.

The new site offers a look at Huntsville Music Office initiatives, which include business development and quarterly networking meetings. An initiative launching next month is the inaugural Huntsville Music Month. Details and events will be announced soon.

“The information on the site will continue to evolve as Huntsville’s music environment progresses, and I look forward to working closely with the community to ensure that our music scene reaches its full potential,” Mandrella said.
