Dale W. Strong, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 5th district since 2023, recently posted a series of messages on social media reflecting on military security at Redstone Arsenal, the legacy of Charlie Kirk, and the anniversary of September 11.
On September 10, 2025, Strong addressed the unique staffing challenges at Redstone Arsenal. He wrote, “Every day, nearly 50,000 men and women come to work on Redstone Arsenal. Unlike other military bases and installations, Redstone does not have a large population of junior enlisted personnel to help fill the gaps with gate security positions. Later that same day, Strong paid tribute to conservative leader Charlie Kirk. In his post he stated, “Charlie Kirk loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He was an American patriot who dedicated his life to advancing the Gospel and conservative values. Charlie will forever be remembered as one of the greatest conservative leaders of his time. I am praying for the Kirk” (posted September 10, 2025).
On September 11, Strong commemorated the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C., writing: “Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who stepped forward in our nation’s darkest hour. Strong has represented Alabama’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Mo Brooks in 2023. Prior to serving in Congress he held positions in both the Alabama House of Representatives and Madison County Commission. Born in Monrovia in 1970 and currently residing in Huntsville at age 52, Strong holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University.
