Dale W. Strong, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 5th district since 2023, has recently used his social media platform to address military anniversaries, honor veterans in North Alabama, and comment on recent legislative developments regarding government funding.

On November 10, 2025, Strong marked a significant military milestone by posting: “Happy 250th anniversary to @USMC! Thank you for your selfless sacrifices and faithful service to America.”

The following day, November 11, he recognized the contributions of veterans in his district and across the nation. He wrote: “Today, we honor the brave men and women who’ve worn our nation’s uniform and defended the freedoms we hold dear. Nearly 60,000 veterans call North Alabama home, and I’m committed to ensuring each of them has the care, support, and opportunities they’ve earned. To all who’ve https://t.co/WL0L1Topbz”

On November 13, Strong commented on congressional action related to a government shutdown that had affected military personnel and their families. He stated: “After inflicting over 40 days of needless hardship on our military, families, workers, and communities, eight Senate Democrats finally did what Republicans, President Trump, and Americans have been asking from day one: pass a measure to reopen the government. https://t.co/Dt89ku5VjL”

Strong has served in Congress since replacing Mo Brooks in 2023. Before his current role in Washington D.C., he was a member of both the Alabama House of Representatives and the Madison County Commission.
