Dale W. Strong, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 5th district since 2023, shared a series of updates on his social media accounts between April 15 and April 17, 2026. The posts addressed tax policy changes, developments at U.S. Space Command, and achievements in collegiate athletics.
On April 15, Strong highlighted recent tax reforms benefiting families. He wrote, “It’s Tax Day, and thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, the average family is seeing about a $350 increase in their tax return this year. Last year, Republicans secured: Expanded standard deduction Larger Child Tax Credit No taxes on overtime & tips New bonus”.
The following day, Strong commented on future prospects for U.S. Space Command by stating, “This is just the beginning for @US_SpaceCom!” (April 16).
On April 17, he congratulated the University of Alabama in Huntsville women’s basketball team for their accomplishments during the season: “Congratulations to @UAH_WBB on a historic season! With a record-breaking 32 wins, a Gulf South Conference Championship, and an incredible run to the NCAA Division II Final Four, the Chargers set a new standard for excellence and made program history.”
Strong has represented Alabama’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Mo Brooks in 2023. Before his tenure in Congress, he served both in the Alabama House of Representatives and on the Madison County Commission. Born in Monrovia in 1970 and currently residing in Huntsville at age 52, Strong graduated from Athens State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
