Dale W. Strong, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 5th district, has been vocal about the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) through a series of tweets. These posts reflect his support for various aspects of the bill and its implications on national security, immigration policy, and fiscal measures.
On July 1, 2025, Strong highlighted that the OBBB includes “generational investments to strengthen America’s national security” and implements President Biden’s “Peace through Strength agenda.” The tweet emphasized that the bill aims to restore American deterrence, modernize the military, revitalize America’s defense industrial base, and improve servicemembers’ conditions. “The OBBB includes generational investments to strengthen America’s national security and implement @POTUS’s Peace through Strength agenda.”
Later on the same day, Strong addressed immigration concerns by stating that approximately 1.4 million illegal immigrants are on Medicaid. He mentioned that the OBBB would require states to verify citizenship status before providing coverage. “Approximately 1.4 million illegal immigrants are currently on Medicaid.”
On July 2, 2025, Strong described the OBBB as “the most conservative piece of legislation we have ever worked on,” claiming it aligns with what “the vast majority of Americans voted for.” He detailed that it provides tax relief for American families, reduces excessive spending, and makes significant investments in border security. “The One Big Beautiful Bill is the most conservative piece of legislation we have ever worked on.”
Dale Strong was born in Monrovia, Alabama in 1970 and lives in Huntsville. He graduated from Athens State University with a BS degree and previously served in both the Alabama House of Representatives and Madison County Commission before taking office in Congress.
