Dale W. Strong, a U.S. Congress member representing Alabama’s 5th district, has recently voiced his concerns and support on several issues through social media posts. Strong, who succeeded Mo Brooks in 2023, has been active in discussing policies and legislation related to border security and emergency management.

On November 19, 2024, Strong expressed criticism of the Biden-Harris Administration’s handling of migrant children at the Southern Border. He attended a Homeland Security Subcommittee hearing focused on trafficked, exploited, and missing migrant children. In his post, he stated: “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have failed countless unaccompanied alien minors, and their reckless border policies are to blame.”

Later that day, Strong reiterated his stance on the issue by highlighting the risks faced by unaccompanied children under current border policies. He emphasized the urgency of addressing this matter with a call for action: “This tragedy at our Southern Border must stop now.”

On November 20, 2024, Strong shifted focus to domestic safety measures in schools. As a member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology and drawing from his experience as a first responder, he endorsed the HEARTS Act of 2024. This legislative proposal advocates for equipping schools with defibrillators. In his words: “It’s simple: we need defibrillators in every school.”
