Dale W. Strong, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 5th district, commented on recent federal developments and local economic news in a series of posts on X in mid-October 2025.
On October 15, Strong highlighted actions by the Biden administration during a government shutdown, stating, “Despite the Democrat Shutdown, @POTUS is making sure our active-duty service members receive their paychecks.”
Shortly after, Strong announced new investment in his district: “Great news for North Alabama! This $282 million investment will add 350 new jobs and is a testament to our region’s talented workforce and the strength of our automotive industry.” (October 15, 2025).
On October 16, Strong criticized Democratic lawmakers for their actions regarding government funding, writing, “Democrats have now voted NINE times to block a clean continuing resolution that simply keeps the government running at current funding levels. They’d rather play politics than keep paychecks flowing to federal workers and essential services operating for the American people.”
Dale Strong has represented Alabama’s 5th District in Congress since 2023, following previous roles in the Alabama House of Representatives and on the Madison County Commission. Born in Monrovia, Alabama, in 1970, Strong resides in Huntsville and holds a Bachelor of Science from Athens State University.
