Decatur City Schools issued the following announcement on March 30.
Work is progressing on the new Career Academies of Decatur complex.
The Career Academies program serves well over a thousand students a year.
The facility is under construction in the old Joe Jones Gymnasium parking lot.
If construction stays on schedule, classes in the new building could begin sometime in the fall of 2024.
