Description
The Chamber’s Education Camp programs feature hands-on and interactive environments where students receive training and exposure to careers of the future.
The 4-day Cyber Camp is for 9-12th grade students and will be held during the summer at the campus of the Career Academies of Decatur. Students will have the opportunity to learn hands-on and technical skills that can lead to high paying, in-demand careers in high growth industries. The students will be introduced to the field of cyber security, become familiar with Microsoft Windows and Linx operating systems, learn to use multiple number systems, how these systems are used in network addressing, and operating system configuration. Students will gain experience in the areas of vulnerability identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation techniques, wi-fi security, IP addressing, and informational ethics.
